Meruschka Govender

Meruschka, better known as @Mzansigirl, is a travel blogger, freelance writer and social media specialist. She has built her personal brand on sharing her love of South African travel online – via social media and her blog. Her mission is to inspire South Africans and the rest of the world to travel within Africa and to challenge misconceptions about African travel. Her travels focus on culture, heritage and personal experiences of places, spaces and people. She also likes to jump.

Damian Cook

CEO of E-Tourism Frontiers.

Damian Cook is the founder and CEO of E-Tourism Frontiers- a major global initiative to develop online tourism in developing markets globally. After working as a consultant in both the public and private sector developing destination websites and online marketing campaigns he formed E-Tourism Frontiers taking a practical, business driven approach to assist emerging markets around the world. He is a Director of Atta and a frequent presenter at global tourism forums. E-Tourism Frontiers has worked with 35 destinations and successfully trained over 6000 tourism professionals, small to medium businesses and tourism students and has brought leading International experts and major travel firms and intermediaries to new markets to do business for the first time. Damian has made presentations to numerous international forums, including recently the PATA Digital Academy and the 2015 Scottish Tourism Week. Each year he holds the extremely popular eTAS (E-Tourism Africa Summit) in conjunction with SA Tourism.

Dawn Jorgensen

Dawn is a conscious traveller with a deep love for Africa, its people and the environment. From gorilla trekking in Uganda, tree planting in Zambia and crampon hiking in Patagonia, she believes she’s just getting started. On her blog The Incidental Tourist, Dawn shares these stories and promotes travel to her beloved South Africa. When not travelling, home takes the shape of a little farm in Wellington, where she loves just being with her dogs.

Thaya Bedford

Thaya Bedford is a country-dwelling creative and mother who has made her love for travel her career. She barely needs an excuse to escape and hit the open road, as long as Joni Mitchell is playing and there's good food at the end of it. A self-confessed gypsy, Thaya loves roaming the countryside in search of new places, people and folklore. She says that she feels like a caged bird if she doesn't get out at least a few times a month - a notion which has clearly guided her chosen career as the Content Strategist at a digital agency focusing on tourism. Between parenting and flitting off to beautful travel stays every other weekend, Thaya loves to feed her soul with friends, music and spontaneous adventure.
