Day 1 - The Heritage Treasures of Limpopo - Sunday, 2 May 2010
Overnight at a game lodge in the Waterberg.
Day 2 - The Heritage Treasures of Limpopo - Monday, 3 May 2010
Enjoy a morning game drive, followed by breakfast and proceed to Tzaneen with a stop over in
Polokwane, the capital of Limpopo. View lions at The Ranch Hotel
before visiting Bakone Malapa Open-Air Museum. Enjoy lunch at Magoebaskloof Hotel.
Overnight at a lodge in Tzaneen.
Day 3 - The Heritage Treasures of Limpopo - Tuesday, 4 May 2010
After breakfast visit Modjadji Royal Kraal to learn about the dynasty of the Rain
Queen, view the tallest cycad trees in the world at Modjadji Cycad Reserve (Cycads
are a protected tree species in South Africa and a permit is required to own them),
view the African Ivory Route camp and the Sunland baobab tree (This baobab tree has
a bar inside that can take up to 10 people inside). Proceed to Phalaborwa (The town
of two summers) for lunch at Amarula Lapa, the home of Amarula Liquor. Overnight at
Phalaborwa Safari Camp near the Phalaborwa gate to Kruger National Park.
Day 4 - The Heritage Treasures of Limpopo - Wednesday, 5 May 2010
Enjoy a bush breakfast with the wild in Kruger National Park then proceed on a game drive
towards Shingwezi camp. Enjoy an afternoon game drive.
Overnight at Shingwezi camp.
Day 5 - The Heritage Treasures of Limpopo - Thursday, 6 May 2010
Exit Kruger National Park through the Pafuri gate enroute to Mapungubwe National Park - World Heritage
Site. View the Hill of the Jackal and explore the hiking trails of this historical
site.
Overnight at one of the camps in Mapungubwe.
The next morning drive back to Polokwane International Airport.
